Every Fridays

It’s redundant. ”Every” is always followed by a singular, never plural.

It’s either “every Friday” or “on Fridays”. Pick one, not both. (“On every Fridays” is even worse.)

How about “any”? Is it “any suggestion?” or “any suggestions?” ?

  2. abar says:

how about ‘each’? like, ‘each friday’?

@ndari: depends on context; both “any suggestion is appreciated” and “(are there) any suggestions?” are common and correct, AFAIK.

@abar: “each Friday” has a very subtle difference with “every Friday”. Kurang lebihnya: “each” = masing2, “every” = setiap. Both have been used interchangeably to mean the same thing. Personally, I think “each” is more appropriately used when referring to individual items from a finite group (e.g. “each Friday in June”) whereas “every” is used to refer to individual items from a larger or infinite group (e.g. “every Friday”, awal akhirnya gak gitu jelas).
